Krakow, June 2018

Last week I paid a short visit to Krakow, a small town in Poland, a town with a lot of history. The number of churches is one of the first things that you will notice. Next to the adoration of pope John Paul II. He was born in the neighborhood, he was the archbishop of Krakow when he got elected as pope.

What is also striking, is that almost 30 years after the fall of communism, there still are a lot of houses that are in a bad shape. A large number has been restored in their former glory, but another part definitely could use some renovation.
